Dukh-Daroo

 Ḏukẖ ḏārū sukẖ rog bẖaiā

Suffering is a blessing in disguise. One's mind at once turns to God and seeks His Grace. Misery comes to everyone. In adversity God is remembered the most.

Suffering teaches us endurance and perseverance, it teaches us humility, it teaches us resignation to the Will of God. In suffering one develops many divine virtues.

We remember God, the most in solemn moments of sorrow, misery and suffering. We envision the Reality of Death and Truth of God more closely and intimately near the burning pyres.

One clears oneself from the debt of sins and karmas through suffering. Suffering has a purging effect.

In Suffering The Ego Melts Away
Purification through suffering leads one nearer to redemption.

No one has come in this world, of his free will. Sooner one learns the sway of a Supreme Will as Indweller, Ordainer and Controller of the whole universe, better it is. Suffering in the Will of God unveils the true face of Maya, the true nature of perishable body and life and turns one's mind God-ward. It induces mercy in the heart for the suffering creation.
